What's noteworthy

  • Funktion Schnitt, which translates as ‘function cut’ in English, is based around creating the perfect t-shirt made for everyday wear and tailored using a selection of sustainable materials.
  • Materials including Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton, merino wool, linen, pima cotton and Lenzing tencel, where all t-shirts are produced in fair, environmentally and socially compliant factories in Porto, Portugal, all of which are FLO-CERT certified.
  • Funktion Schnitt’s most interesting material is their SeaCell™, produced by smartfiber. SeaCell™ is made up of marine algae from the unique ecosystem of Icelandic fjords that contain a high proportion of nutrients and antioxidants, and are directly integrated into the cellulose fibres of lyocell and modal to create an incredibly soft and supposedly irritant-free material.
  • Sewing threads used are OEKO-TEX certified.
